Originally brewed in Budweis, Czech Republic in 1876. Brewers generally added "er" to the name of the town where the beer was brewed...ie Budweiser from Budweis or Pilsner from Pilsen, Czech Republic.

 There are 4 staple foods they cannot seem to serve often enough in Prague...Sausage with whipped horseradish and dijon mustard, potato soup, beef goulash and those ubiquitous pretzels!!

Sorry, there is no pics of the goulash...never stayed on the plate long enough to capture one.
